Adam Haner, the male witnessed in a extensively circulated video clip remaining brutally attacked in downtown Portland Sunday, appeared on “Watters’ World” Saturday to discuss that night time.
“I thought that is what they ended up down there hoping to battle, was this type of habits toward them, but they are exhibiting the exact same behavior that they are attempting to prevent,” Haner informed host Jesse Watters.
Haner, who appeared with his girlfriend, Tammie Martin, experienced two black eyes. He also experienced injuries to his legs and ribs.
In accordance to Haner, he and his girlfriend went to a comfort retail store, then tried to intervene when they observed a young female staying robbed of her backpack.
Haner explained the moments right before he was overwhelmed by many attackers – primary up to a brutal kick to his head.
“I warned everyone to get out of my way when I did start out my truck. I would been down there long enough. They understood when my truck begun, to get out of the way,” Haner mentioned. “I was down there for a prolonged volume of time. I managed not to damage any person though I was down there, but myself, evidently. I are not able to say the exact to them.”
When requested how lengthy he waited for help after calling 911, Haner said he doesn’t know due to the fact he was knocked unconscious. But he did criticize the “very long response.”
“At the very least 10 minutes soon after he had been unconscious, from what I can explain to,” Martin stated. “I signify, no person would let me near him.”
Portland police arrested Marquise Lee Enjoy, 25, in the attack. He turned himself in and was booked into jail Friday morning. He was charged with assault, coercion and rioting, all 3 of which are felonies.
